Royal Canin Diabetic Special is specially formulated for dogs with diabetes. The low carbohydrate content gives lower blood glucose levels after feeding and better gluco modulation is achieved because maize releases its glucose into the bloodstream more slowly than other carbohydrate sources. The high fibre content of the diet also slows down the absorption of nutrients in the small intestine improving glycemic control.
